Vanessa specialises in advising businesses of all sizes on their corporate and governance structures. Vanessa is a regular speaker on governance and diversity issues at national and international conferences. She has chaired and spoken at conferences on this subject across Europe. She is a director and company secretary of the Women of the Year Lunch, Chair of the UK Woman Lawyer Forum, a founder member of the European Women Lawyers Association. She has also recently been asked to be a visiting lecturer at UWE on their gender and the law courses.

Virginia Bottomley is Chairman of the Odgers Berndtson, London, Board Practice. She is on the Supervisory Board of Akzo Nobel, an NED with Bupa and is a Trustee of The Economist Newspaper. A Governor of the London School of Economics, Chancellor of the University of Hull, she is also a member of the House of Lords. Virginia held several Ministerial positions in the British Government with Margaret Thatcher and John Major, including her role as the Cabinet Minister responsible for Health and subsequently Culture, Media and Sport.

Lorraine Clinton held a number of senior global positions within the Pilkington Group before deciding on a portfolio career. She is a non-executive board member of AHDB (the Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board); of DSD (the Dept of Social Development in Northern Ireland); of ENTRUST (the regulator of the Landfill Communities Fund); a council member for Cranfield University; an executive committee member for Women of the Year; and Chair of the MLC Pension Scheme

Mei Sim Lai is the Founder and Principal of LaiPeters & Co and Managing Director of the management and consulting firm LaiPeters Limited. Of Malaysian Chinese origin, she has lived in the UK since 1970. Mei Sim has considerable experience and expertise in the not-for-profit and regeneration sectors. She ran the Pridie Brewster/ACEVO financial helpline for Chief Executives of charities and voluntary organisations for 7 years until 2006..Outside LaiPeters & Co, Mei Sim holds several Government, Charity and City appointments. In 2004 she was appointed an OBE for services to equal opportunities and in 2006 she was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater London. She is now Representative Deputy Lieutenant for the Borough of Brent.
