Peter Gillingwater - Managing Partner Peter’s career began in EDS as a technology consultant in his native New Zealand and with Citigroup when he came to London in 1987.He moved into Global Technology Executive Search in 1988 and has amassed experience within Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. He was also a Director and Board Member of the AIM listed Corporate Executive Search Group that was instrumental in building the start-up management teams for many leading companies in their European growth plans.

In recent years he has worked extensively with the Private Equity community in locating key executives for portfolio companies from early build phase and beyond. His network within the Communications sector is a significant factor in the successful delivery of the assignments and ongoing development of the business.

He is married with three children and with what little time he has available is committed to improving his golf swing and creating culinary delights in the kitchen.

David Dickie - Managing Partner David's early career was spent in senior financial roles within Haymarket Publishing, looking after the commercial aspects of such high-profile business titles such as Campaign and Marketing. Subsequent career development resulted in ten years at Financial Director level within the advertising industry working for names such as DMB&B (now Darcy Group) BMP DDB Needham and WMGO Group (now Incepta Group) where he also assumed responsibility for HR. In 1997 David set up DNP, a HR consultancy focused on the TMT sector. The company completed numerous successful campaigns on behalf of its clients before David sold his shareholding and moved on to found Nexec Partners with Peter. David has developed his reputation amongst clients and candidates alike as a professional search practitioner and has therefore played a key role in building management teams for many companies.

A keen and able sportsman and follower of Spurs and Burnley football clubs, David's ability to support the underdog is legendary. His four children also try to keep him fit and active in both mind and body.

Philip Randerson - Partner Philip is highly experienced in Global Technology Executive Search within Europe, Middle East, Africa. Prior to Nexec Partners he headed up an Executive Search Practice that worked on senior hires for Vodafone, C&W, BT, ICL and a number of early stage privately funded technology companies. His expertise lies in understanding how and what attracts the industries top performers and making sure each hire assists the companies’ growth ambitions. He has been responsible for establishing and growing a number of companies in the Communications space in Europe and specialises in building them top down. Through many successful campaigns he is now widely known and trusted in the communications market space and can therefore quickly attract the "top talent" to clients. He has been regularly attending Communications conferences across Europe to understand industry market trends and for networking purposes. He has close affiliations and/or membership with industry forums including the ETF, ECTA, ITNEA, GBA and TMF.

Martin Falch - Partner Martin's career experience encompasses both Executive Search and senior commercial roles within the converging ICE area. The first part of his career was spent recruiting senior executives on a global basis into both VC backed start-ups and blue-chip companies such as IBM, Accenture and CA. He subsequently served as Country Manager UK & Ireland for 2 early-mid phase Telecom Software companies in the UK before electing to return to the Executive Search industry.

With his combined experience in Industry and Search, Martin has gained an in-depth understanding on the importance of finding and attracting the right talent to grow a business. Additionally he has gained a strong knowledge of the convergence marketplace and a wide network of contacts.

As a Norwegian national, Martin serves as a Vice President of the Council and a member of the IT & Telecom Forum with the Norwegian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC). His spare time is carefully balanced between family life, socialising and his passion for extreme skiing / snowboarding.

Ben Markland - Associate Partner Ben joined Nexec Partners in January 2007, previously having co-founded Spectrum EHCS, an Executive search practice focussed on Senior Appointments in the Converging Technology space. His responsibilities included ensuring that the firm excelled in the successful delivery of client mandates on a global basis and for the firm's overall strategic direction. Before Spectrum, Ben worked on numerous senior assignments with Corporate Executive Search, an AIM listed executive search practice where he played an integral part in their success.

An Information Technology professional by training, Ben completed his degree in IT before commencing a career in business services and subsequently joining the executive search industry in 1997. Since this time, Ben has delivered retained executive search assignments worldwide for clients ranging from venture backed start-ups, through the large MNCs including O2, Crescendo Ventures, Cramer Systems, VPI Systems, AGI, Lucent Technologies, COLT Telecom, Tertio, Cisco Systems and Optillion.

Ben has a deep understanding of the convergent technology space and is an active member of the industry, regularly attending conferences and events, whilst maintaining an extensive personal network.

Oliver Peckham - Senior Researcher

Oliver was promoted to a senior researcher with Nexec Partners in September 2006 after completing an outstanding first year with us. His passion for technology and ability to attract elite executives to our clients has proven a huge success. Within the converging technology space he has worked on many senior appointments in multiple regions within the UK, Europe, North America, and the Middle East. He boasts a premier network of international executives and non-executives within the converging technology spaces, sourcing senior executives for clients ranging from VC backed companies to large corporates. Oliver is a keen skier who enjoys living life to the full.
